From August 1st 2007 it will be mandatory to include an Energy Peformance Certificate (EPC) in the home information pack.
The Energy Peformance Certificate will rate the home from A-G. The certificate will also offer advice on how to save energy around the home. If advice is followed the householder could cut their energy costs by up to £300 per year.
For the first time House Buyers will have clear advice on the energy rating and running costs of a property.
